Kent State’s Bob Lindsay Wins 400th Game

Talk about a memorable milestone. The Kent State women’s basketball team gave coach Bob Lindsay his 400th career victory Tuesday afternoon.

That mark is impressive enough, but here’s how the Golden Flashes finished off their foe: They held Florida Atlantic without a field goal in the final nine minutes of an 82-53 win at the M.A.C. Center in Kent.

Taisja Jones had 20 points for the Flashes (8-2), and Jamilah Humes added 13.

Florida Atlantic fell to 3-8.

Lindsay now owns a career record of 400-227 in his 22nd year as the Golden Flashes’ mentor.

“Winning this number of games is a tribute to a lot of people, Lindsay said. The administration’s support of the program, all the players that have been in the program, and the staff members. It’s equally distributed amongst all of those people.”
