Basketball Play of the Week
Multi-Option Set Play
This play can be run to either side. 1 dribbles toward the wing (2 in this case). 2 cuts off a backscreen set by 5, then immediately comes back off a second screen set by 5. 1 passes to 2 for a shot from the baseline corner.
If 2 doesn't have an open shot, he or she passes back out to 1, who quickly swings the ball over to 3 popping out to the top. 3 takes a few dribbles to the opposite wing. 2 breaks along the baseline, coming off staggered cross-screens set by 5 and 4, popping into the opposite corner.
3 looks to hit 2 for a baseline jump shot or passes to 4 sealing on the low block. (The pass to 4 is an especially effective option if there is a switch by the defenders).
