Coach Sues Due To Gender Discrimination

Connie Morris, the former head girls basketball coach at Bessemer High (Ala.), has filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against the Bessemer Board of Education. Morris, who was the coach for 17 years, claims she could not hire her own assistant coaches (the male coaches could, she says) and her assistants were paid less than their male counterparts.
