Shelton, CT–The Save a Suit Foundation, a Shelton, CT based non-profit organization, which provides business suits and clothing to military veterans and soon-to-be college graduates, recently received generous support from New York Knicks and USA Men’s Olympic Basketball Coach, Mike D’Antoni. D’Antoni personally delivered over $20, 000 worth in business clothing to the organization to help prepare them for a large donation event on July 3, 2012, where they plan to suit up more than 500 military veterans.

“We were thrilled when we heard Coach D’Antoni wanted to support our mission, Scott Sokolowski, founder of Save a Suit said, For him to take time out of his hectic schedule to personally meet with us, only days before leaving for the London Games, meant a lot to our entire organization.”

With the help of donors like D’Antoni, the Save a Suit Foundation has collected enough suits and business clothing to help more than 500 veterans. They will have a storefront at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, CT on July 3rd during the mall’s fireworks celebration where they will fit and clothe all veterans in attendance.

Save a Suit is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that collects and distributes formal business attire to college students, graduates and military veterans in need. They have sponsored several events throughout Connecticut and New York to give out business clothing and offer various career coaching tips and training and recently expanded nationally with an event at Western Illinois State University. Founded in 2010 and based in Shelton, CT, the organization has already helped provide professional clothing to more than 1, 000 college graduates and military veterans in need.
