Santa Cruz Coaches Asked To Forgo Pay

To keep costs down for student-athletes, the Santa Cruz City Schools (Calif.) is providing an option for coaches to turn down their pay stipend to reduce the costs for students to compete on the team. If every coaches decides to give up their stipend, it could save the struggling district close to $300, 000.
